COMMON MEMBER QUESTIONS:
Why should I play WAAR Flag Football?
Everyone has a chance at glory on the WAAR battlegrounds. Whether you aren't even interested in playing flag football but are simply looking at getting out and meeting people or if you have great organizational and social skills and want to help manage a team, WAAR is the place for you. You'll love every day you spend at WAAR!
I'm a new player looking for a League and team to join. How do I go about deciding where to play?
Just check the League list and determine which League would best suit you. Please consider such variables as field location and League sponsors, and then register to play in that League. Once on the mailing list (automatic upon registration) the League can tell you when upcoming pickup games and happy hours are so that you can meet other players.
I have a group of people who would like to play together on a team. What do I do?
Find the best League for you and register to play in that League. Start a new WAAR team and as the team creator, you will automatically be assigned as the Team Captain and be able to email an invitation to your specific group of friends to play on your team (Closed team) or allow anyone to join your team (Open team). New members can be invited to play on your team at any time during the signup period teams so that you can play with your friends and grow your team. (Due to space limitations there are no guarantees that there will be room for your entire group. However, Leagues will do their best to accomodate your team. Additionally, WAAR reserves the right to add "teamless" members to any team, including "closed" teams, to help maximize league participation)
I have an entire team of people who would like to join a League. Can I create my own WAAR Team?

How many people are on a team? Is a certain mix of men/women required?
Each team shall have one Captain and one Co-Captain who are jointly responsible for the team. Please refer the the WAAR Rules to see the maximum and minimum number of members required per team. Teams are encouraged to hold rosters of at least 18 members. (People often take vacations, work travel, and have other pursuits that make them miss games. Teams with more players rarely forfeit games thus keeping play consistent, fun, and worthwhile for all.) Teams must field at least 8 and no more than 11 players. WAAR Flag Football is a co-ed league and thus teams must field a minimum of 4 players of each sex.
When do games start? When are the games played?
The Season Start Date depends on the League and the season. Please refer to your local League web page for more info. Flag Football games last five innings and for many Leagues, are played in the early evening on weekdays (after work for most). Some Leagues may play on the weekend - check your League's web page for specific information. For weekday play, typical game scenarios are two or three simultaneous games being played on the reserved field/location. Usually there is an early session game (around 6:30pm) and a late game Session(around 8:00). Field location and days of play varies with each League.

WAAR is the World Association of Adult Recreation. We are normal group of adults... with a love for fun and competition. WAAR consists of WAAR Sports Leagues around the United States. Each WAAR Sport contains a well structured organization of Leagues, Teams, and Players. Each League is run by a President and a WAAR Board of DirectoRs.
A League's season lasts approximately 11 weeks (depending on your League) and consists of games against other teams within your League. At the end of the season, each League holds a League WAAR Battles tournament to honor a single team as the WAAR League champion. Please Note: As the WAAR organization grows Regional and National Tournaments will be held to recognize a single team as the WAAR World Champion.
When is WAAR registration?
Registration opens on different dates depending on the location of the League and the time of season. Registration usually lasts approximately six to eight weeks. Each League is able to hold a maximum and minimum number of teams. Additionally, there will also be a maximum and minimum number of players per team.
